Still I Rise

Still I Rise
(A being human poem by Wain)

Dear Beloved,

Chemotherapy is like poison
My body is weaker and smaller in s _ _ _
But the cancer will die before me
So with each new day … I rise

My hair is completely gone
And my wig looks like a d _ _ _ _ _ _ _
But my inner beauty still shines
So with each new day … I rise

Sometimes I feel like quitting
And lots of tears flood my e _ _ _
But I have a lot in life to live for
So with each new day … I rise

Some people survive for only a while
And it is hard to say g _ _ _ _ _ _ _
But I hope to see them in heaven
So with each new day … I rise

Sometimes I wonder, why me Lord?
And it feels like He ignores my c _ _ _ _
But my faith is a source of strength
So with each new day … I rise

My days on this earth may be numbered
Oh Lord guide me in steps that are w _ _ _
Your grace and love keep me going
So with each new day still … I rise

Lots of love,

Wain
