Pursuing Happiness

Pursuing Happiness
(A being human poem by Wain)

Dear Beloved,

Pursuing happiness is a right
That’s what we have been told
We chase the dream each day
Like miners hunting for g _ _ _

But what if we are all wrong
That happiness needs to be found?
What if happiness isn’t a mystery
But something that is all a _ _ _ _ _?

Money, fame, sex, good food
And romantic relationships as well
Isn’t happiness found in pleasure?
That feeling of being under a s _ _ _ _?

“If something feels good, do it”
May bring happiness for a while
But is being controlled by feelings
The best way to a lasting s _ _ _ _?

Happiness is partly a feeling
But it is mostly a state of mind
Every day be grateful
And commit to always being k _ _ _

Yes, true happiness is a paradox.
It doesn’t come from focusing on you
Happiness comes from serving others
By the loving things you d _

I wish you true happiness.

Lots of love,

Wain
